this weekend? where you gonna be? ill be out friday and prob saturday too. not much fishing talk on this site lately. ill prob be some where south of pass been doing a little research and found some spots id like to try! the gps is locked and loaded! ill post results monday. the kids wanna go to ship so if it's not to choppy ill prob be there sat.

Proper Distance

What is the proper distance from another boat when you pull up on a reef are wreck.with the assumption that the other boat is there first and anchored are tied off . another way of stating if i pull up on Henderson reef and see fish on my bottom finder and there is anthor boat on the same fish ,how close can one anchor to another boat and still be polite.

Next time you decide to fish through a thunderstorm....keep this in mind

Old OS/Biloxi bridge

I hope this works out....right now the DMR and City of Biloxi are in talks concerning the old Biloxi/OS bridge(the one between the new bridge and the train bridge) to take it down and use it to extend the Katrina reef much much further to the west. this will likely have an immediate impact on the fishing there as the existing one has already established itself so anything added will almost immediately attract fish. I have not personally had much success at the Katrina except for catching six...

hey guys...entering my first marlin tourney in pensacola this weekend...me and another guy from my office gonna try to win a little money and have a hell of a lotta fun while trying to do so...2 day tourney about 100 boats .... hired a local to guide us down there.... not sure what to expect, but it ought to be fun...if nothing else other than the by-catch of wahoo & dolphin....hopefully will have some pics on monday .... wish me luck, I'm sure it's going to take a lot of it

how many of us here are privileged enough to have access to private fish havens? we only have 1 set of "semi-private" numbers and that spot almost always produces good fish. i'm not asking anyone to give those numbers out, but how secret do you try to keep them if you have them?

As you all know, I'm new here and new to saltwater fishing. I am limited to where I can fish because of my boat. I have a 17' Tracker TX with a 70hp outboard. I don't completely understand tides yet but I've learned enough to know that tidal movement is a positive thing when looking for a good bite. What I don't understand at all is the process of locating Specks. I do understand fishing working birds but when the birds are not working, what type of structure are you guys...

Top Water Trout

Been catching some decent sized trout on a Super Spook Jr white with a red head early and even a little later on cloudy days. Have caught about 25 keepers last 2 times on the water. Trout are starting to show up some in decent numbers near shore and inshore even though they can still be some what scatter at times.

saw this on another site and thought it was interesting....have been in 2 jubilees in my life...one floundering and one that lasted 2 days getting them on rod and reel in water a little to deep and muddy to see in....but have only ever gigged one flounder in the daytime.
