headed out this evening to go check out the farm in alabama we have premission to hunt......freakin pumped and hoping not to disappointed which of course is a definite possibility. Not leaving till around 7 this evening bc of basketball practice.....if we didnt have our first game monday and still have so much to do before we are ready I would cancel practice today and try to get out early but gotta work a little first i guess....if you call playing basketball work anyway.

2) No guided/paid hunts

3) A full report of the kill must be posted in the hunting report section (include date, time, general area and weight if possible) and only legal bucks taken from Nov. 21 2009 to Feb 15 2010 by 100% legal means may be entered.

well bow season is open in zone 2 today....have not heard any reports from the area yet but i expect to start getting some calls and messages tonight from several who are ditching work early today to head for the woods for an evening hunt. with the wind and seas forecast this weekend might be headed to the camp to get my stand ready.....wont be hunting most likely as it nowhere near ready but wont take long....plus with the forecast 20+mph winds its not exactly ideal hunting conditions either.

anyone gonna be up north for the Oct 1st bow opener? if i do bow hunt it will just be down here so wont be till after the 15th....doubt if i do though......the fishing is just to good in Oct and Nov.

Any MS Lifetime Sportsmans license holders

I sent an email to MDWFP to see if I needed to buy a management area permit since I was a lifetime license holder.

Maj Lane Ball responded and told me "NO, if you have the resident lifetime license."

Just thought I would pass that on.

• A permit is available to photographers and for camera surveys at no cost. The

check this out.....watchthedeer.com gives you free access to six trail cams that update every 10 seconds. most of the time there is nothing on there but i check every once in a while and have seen all kinda deer, hogs, turkeys, yotes cats, you name it. pretty cool when there is activity. they have tons of other cameras and studd but you gotta pay for that so i just look at the free stuff....watched 3 young bucks this morning eating and playing under a feeder. most say they are free roaming...

I just recently purchased the PSE Bow Madness from bluff creek outfitters in vanlceave. i think the bow rocks. It's IBO 316 they claim it is now the fastest solocam on the market. any body else want to put there 2 cents in on there bow of choice.

Hunter Safety class

Looking into getting my fiance into the hunter safety class and I found out that the class is strictly on the internet now you take the test on the site, print it out the certificate, contact the MDWFP district office and they schedule you to meet for 3 hrs for 1 hr of class time and some time on the range. Man I remember having to go for like 3 nights straight in the middle of the week. How long has this been going on?

Well Dalilman and I did some serious food plot cutting over the weekend. Probably going to go back up in a couple weeks to put up a shooting house to replace one that is atleast 20 yrs old, killed my first deer out of it back in 92. Should be able to get the cameras out then too, just slap ran out of time and energy this past weekend. Anybody else got anything going on?

Electric Feeders

Thinking about picking up at least 1 maybe 2 electric feeders. Anyone have a brand they prefer? I have a 30 gallon on time right now but was seeing if anyone else has an opinion.
